The wonderful and magical Rachel Goodrich is making a music video, and she needs your help!

We want to see you move and dance to the tune “Na Na Na” any way you like!

We like all kinds of dances- interpretive, ballet, step, tap, jazz, breaking, modern, and are inviting everyone from professionals to friends in their living rooms to upload a video to youtube and share the link with us!
You can be as simple or extravagant and creative as you like, there are no rules as long as it’s dancing to “Na Na Na.”

The best ones will be used in the official music video, 10 lucky winners will be given an autographed copy of Rachel’s CD, and one will be given a cash prize of $500! Even if you don’t win, you may still make it into the video directed by Mayer\Leyva.
All you need to do is upload the video to youtube and post the link in the comment section before the end of the day SEPTEMBER 1st, 2011.

Winners will be announced around October 1st.

The Borscht Film Festival’s main screening night, BORSCHT 7, is this Saturday, April 23^rd, at 8 p.m. at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the performing arts. Tickets available at www.arshtcenter.org

Currently in its 7^th year, The Borscht Film Festival commissions, produces, and showcases films by emerging artists that tell Miami stories that go beyond the typical portrayal of a beautiful but vapid party

town. The festival is now accepting donations from the Miami community to match the $150,000 Arts Challenge grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation it recently won to continue “forging the cinematic identity of Miami both locally and globally,” in its mission to “redefine Miami in cinema.” The 2009 films received rave reviews from a capacity crowd of over 1,600 at the Gusman Center, and have gone on to play at international festivals such as Cannes, Tribeca, and Sundance, and the Guggenheim museums in New York City, Venice, Bilbao, and Berlin.

Borscht was recently named the “Best Film Festival in Miami” by the Miami New Times, and the “most eclectic and electric film festival in South Florida,” by the Miami Herald.

We’re debuting the thirteen projects we commissioned, created, and produced. Bigger than any BORSCHT before it, BORSCHT 7 commissioned teams of directors and musicians to create short films about Miami by emerging Miami artists. These films are not music videos, but rather short narratives inspired by music and created by local, cross-disciplinary artists, and will screen alongside other films from the Miami community that tell Miami stories.

BORSCHT 6 received rave reviews from a sold-out crowd of over 1,600 at the Gusman Center.  People were seen scalping BORSCHT 6′s free tickets to the more than 200 people who were left outside.

For BORSCHT 7, tickets are again free, but you can reserve a seat for $20. And not only will that get you a seat, but it’ll also get you a BORSCHT 7 t-shirt, a BORSCHT 7 poster, one complimentary drink at the post-festival concert immediately following the screening, a BORSCHT 7 temporary tattoo, and a swag-bag full of glorious surprises.
